My market leading St. Helens based client are the UK’s largest independent manufacturer within their field, they are experiencing year on year growth, making now a very exciting time to join this hugely successful business.

My client is looking to recruit an experienced Stock Controller, you will be required to work from 09:00 - 17:00 Monday - Friday (37.5 hours per week) and the annual salary will be £30,000 - £34,000.

The Stock Controller role is a vital role in the business, you will ensure the business has the optimum stocks levels available at all times to prevent production delays. By maintaining accurate inventory levels, you will enhance customer satisfaction by ensuring timely delivery of products. 

Job Description

  • Ensure that all stock levels are maintained and do not fall below the agreed figures
  • Liaise with material suppliers and warehouse team to co-ordinate all stock levels across the business
  • Control of material stock being ordered
  • Regular stock takes at all locations
  • Liaising with the stock manager on project, stock & issues
  • Outgoing correspondence via email
  • Providing administrative support
  • Answering incoming telephone calls
  • Ensure the CRM database is kept up to date
  • Analysis of trends and providing advice to the Production Planning Managers
  • Data planning of stock utilising MS Excel

Person Specification

  • Proven work experience as a Stock Controller, Inventory Manager or similar role.
  • Good understanding of supply chain procedures.
  • Working knowledge of inventory management software 
  • Active participation in inventory audits.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Good communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Strong MS Excel experience.
  • Experience in analysis work.
