Head of Quality (UK) - Manufacturing

up to £80,000 plus car plus bonus

The Role:
As Head of Quality, you will take the lead in shaping and delivering the quality strategy for a leading manufacturing organization. Managing multiple sites, you'll ensure best-in-class quality standards while continuously improving processes and systems. This is a role for someone who enjoys being hands-on, collaborating with teams, and working proactively to resolve quality challenges. With approximately 60% travel required, you'll be at the heart of operations, ensuring alignment across sites and driving a culture of quality excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a long-term quality strategy aligned with business objectives
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a multisite Quality Assurance team
- Oversee risk management, supplier quality, and process audits
- Investigate and resolve quality issues using root cause analysis & corrective actions
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and SPC methodologies
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal departments, suppliers, and customers
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and other regulatory requirements
What We're Looking For:
- Proven experience in a Quality Assurance leadership role within a regulated manufacturing environment (ideally aerospace)
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, quality tools, and methodologies (Six Sigma, SPC, 8D, FMEA)
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and analytical skills
- Ability to influence stakeholders, drive change, and implement continuous improvement
- Willingness and flexibility to travel to multiple UK sites.
