Our Client who is an established business in St Ives and they are currently recruiting for someone to join their finance team as an Assistant Accountant. The role represents a great opportunity for someone who wants to be part of an established team with the opportunity to shine and grow as the company continues to evolve and thrive. The role will be varied and duties will include:

  • Control account reconciliations
  • Fixed asset reconciliations
  • Month end journals
  • Prepayments and accruals
  • Daily sales ledger cash reconciliations
  • Manually invoice processing when necessary
  • Checking and posting purchase order invoices
  • Looking after expense process, chasing when appropriate
  • Reconciling recharge accounts and raise invoices for subsidiaries monthly
  • Perform weekly VAT
  • Assisting with year end audit

The Ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills and will have experience in a similar role. A high level of accuracy and commitment to data integrity are essential attributes as is the ability to confidently engage with stakeholders at all levels, resolving issues and conflicts in a diplomatic manner. Strong Excel skills are essential and experience working with ERP systems would be a bonus. Ideally AAT qualified or studying towards ACCA or CIMA, this role offers excellent scope for personal and professional development and study support will be available if appropriate.
