We are looking for a Advisor level HR professional to join our clients growing HR team. Our client is a leading consultancy business, the role will be responsible for supporting clients across the group. Our long-standing client have won numerous awards, including best companies to work for and have a progressive and people centric approach. They offer opportunities for progression as well as additional study support and personal development. The role is worked on a hybrid working pattern.

  • Working closely with clients to support of project work and provide HR support.
  • Providing HR advice via telephone, e-mail or other correspondence, in a professional manner.
  • Undertake regular delivery in areas of HR such as (but not limited to) disciplinary and grievance investigations, restructures, harmonisation of terms of employment, mediation, recruitment & selection, safeguarding, HR policy development, training, employee relations advice and other matters.
  • To attend and present cases, where necessary, at formal hearings/appeals, up to and including dismissals.
  • To support and advise on how to achieve and maintain an appropriate employee relations climate, where appropriate to the assigned project scope.
  • Contribute to the sharing of good practice and knowledge amongst colleagues, as required.
  • Attend and participate in regular team meetings as appropriate and training to keep up to date with current legislation, policies and procedures and other relevant guidance.

We are looking for self-motivated HR professionals who are able to work flexibly as part of the overall team. Equally, have the ability to influence senior business managers and able to promote change.

Key skills

  • Experience in an advisory position within a HR environment, which will include advice and support for managers, training, responsibility for issues such as the appointment and dismissal of staff, grievance, disciplinary procedures, absence management, redundancy, etc.
  • Competency in working within the constraints of predefined employment policies and procedures
  • Good attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritise and work well under pressure to strict deadlines
