The Role
We’re seeking an experienced Accounts Manager to take charge of a client portfolio generating annual fees of £180k. In this role, you’ll blend your technical expertise with client relationship management and a focus on business development.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead on accounting services, covering corporate and personal tax returns, budgeting, VAT compliance, and financial forecasting.
- Build and maintain strong client connections, identify opportunities for additional services, and support business growth.
- Oversee tax return reviews (self-assessment, VAT), prepare capital gains schedules, and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Review the work of team members, delegate effectively, mentor juniors, and conduct performance appraisals.
- Assist Partners in driving a culture of continuous improvement across the firm.
The Successful Candidate
- Demonstrated experience within accountancy practice, managing a diverse client portfolio.
- Strong communication, leadership, and client-facing skills.
- Proficiency with accounting software and digital processes.
- A proactive approach to business development and team leadership.
