We are currently recruiting for an Administrative Support Officer to join our client, a public sector local authority organisation on a temporary basis.

In this role, the successful candidate will require excellent knowledge of key administrative procedures and tools, and the ability to provide effective support services to busy colleagues. Key skills and abilities include excellent word processing skills, the ability to effectively organise their own and team workload and meet deadlines, the ability to undertake a diverse workload, and the ability to minute and produce accurate records of meetings.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrable proficiency in using Microsoft Office packages to file, communicate, and record effectively, as well as developed knowledge of computer systems and local services and systems. They will also possess competence in formatting for letter writing and report writing, good presentation skills, and the ability to carry out research and analysis in support of colleagues.

Efficient and skilled use of office equipment including photocopier, fax, and phone is also required, along with an understanding of equal opportunities and corporate standards.
