- Lead the finance function and manage a team, ensuring the efficient processing of accounts, budgets, and financial reports.
- Work closely with the Leadership to influence operational and strategic decisions.
- Prepare monthly management accounts, monitor budgets, and manage audits.
- Oversee payroll management, including pension schemes, and support HR with staff forecasting.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies, regulations, and reporting requirements.
- Identify financial risks and opportunities to maximize resources and income.
- A background in accounting within an education setting
- Previous experience as a School Business Manager or Bursar
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Knowledge of academy funding, financial regulations, and systems.
- An analytical mindset and the ability to make strategic decisions based on financial data.
