My client is seeking a proactive QSE Manager to take overall responsibility for Quality Assurance, Health & Safety, and Environmental compliance across the company.

Job duties of the QSE Manager are to:

  • Lead and develop a small Quality Assurance (QA) team.
  • Administer and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS), including compliance with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
  • Oversee quality control processes, including incoming inspections, in-process checks, and final evaluations.
  • Manage document control and internal/external audits, driving corrective/preventative actions.
  • Conduct safety inspections, risk assessments, and staff training to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, implementing corrective measures.
  • Manage the company’s Environmental Management program ISO 14001, ensuring compliance with legislation.

Skills and experience required for the QSE Manager are:

  • Hands-on, problem-solving approach with strong attention to detail.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across all levels.
  • Proven ability to influence and drive change in a small business environment.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality results and fostering a culture of excellence.

You will have a professional certification or significant experience in QMS (ISO 9001 & ISO 14001) and IOSH Managing Safely qualification. NEBOSH and Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field would be an advantage.
