BDM Recruitment is actively seeking an experienced Mortgage Advisor or Mortgage Broker to join a prominent estate agency in St. Neots. This busy office deals with mortgages up to £600k, with an average property value of £330k. As the Mortgage Advisor, you will have the potential to bank £120,000 to £140,000 annually, translating to an earnings potential of £60,000 to £70,000. Main Duties:
As the Mortgage Advisor or Mortgage Broker, you will work from the bustling St. Neots office, offering whole-of-market mortgage and protection advice. This role involves:
- Working alongside a team of estate agents and introducers to provide comprehensive mortgage and protection advice to clients in St. Neots and the surrounding areas.
- Managing a consistent flow of 8 to 10 fresh mortgage leads per week, while also contacting existing clients to review their mortgage and protection policies.
- Writing an average of 2 mortgages per week, with an average case size of £2,500, including fees and insurance commissions.
- Providing regulated advice on a wide range of mortgage and protection products, ensuring clients receive tailored financial solutions.
- Accessing a large database of existing clients who may require remortgage or product transfer services, enabling you to maximize your earning potential.
- Covering properties valued up to £600,000, while the average property size in the St. Neots area is £355,000.
As the sole Mortgage Advisor or Mortgage Broker in this St. Neots branch, you will have the autonomy to manage your caseload, while benefiting from a highly supportive team environment. You’ll be working in a thriving office where over 60 properties are sold each month, making it a high-volume, high-reward opportunity.
Key Skills:
To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate must have:
- A CeMAP qualification (or equivalent), and a deep knowledge of mortgage products and protection advice.
- Previous experience in a mortgage advisory role, whether from a tied, independent, or banking background.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with both clients and the estate agency team.
- A proactive and driven attitude to achieve targets and grow your business.
- Clean credit and compliance history, along with a valid UK driving license.
