Role Overview

As a Project Risk Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supporting Programme and Project Managers to ensure the effective identification, evaluation, and management of project risks. You will be a subject matter expert in Project Risk Management procedures, fostering a culture of proactive risk management while delivering impactful insights and reports for senior management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and support appropriate Risk and Action Owners.
  • Manage the identification and evaluation of risks, including threats and opportunities.
  • Advise on and support the development of appropriate risk treatment strategies.
  • Ensure treatment action plans are time-bound and integrated into project schedules.
  • Analyze residual risk using Monte Carlo analysis and other methodologies.
  • Oversee progress on risk treatment action plans and contingency management.
  • Prepare risk data for project reviews and corporate reporting.
  • Facilitate monthly risk reviews and support ad hoc requests from stakeholders.
  • Maintain accuracy and currency of risk data within registers or systems.
  • Deliver scenario analysis and comprehensive risk reporting.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Proven experience in Risk Management within projects and programs.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.
  • High numeracy with experience in estimating (cost and schedule) and financial modeling.
  • Analytical mindset and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of engaging management-level audiences.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Skilled in negotiating, influencing, and presenting to diverse teams.
  • Understanding of Waterfall, Agile, and hybrid delivery methodologies (desirable).
