Role Overview
As a Project Risk Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supporting Programme and Project Managers to ensure the effective identification, evaluation, and management of project risks. You will be a subject matter expert in Project Risk Management procedures, fostering a culture of proactive risk management while delivering impactful insights and reports for senior management.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and support appropriate Risk and Action Owners.
- Manage the identification and evaluation of risks, including threats and opportunities.
- Advise on and support the development of appropriate risk treatment strategies.
- Ensure treatment action plans are time-bound and integrated into project schedules.
- Analyze residual risk using Monte Carlo analysis and other methodologies.
- Oversee progress on risk treatment action plans and contingency management.
- Prepare risk data for project reviews and corporate reporting.
- Facilitate monthly risk reviews and support ad hoc requests from stakeholders.
- Maintain accuracy and currency of risk data within registers or systems.
- Deliver scenario analysis and comprehensive risk reporting.
Qualifications & Skills
- Proven experience in Risk Management within projects and programs.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.
- High numeracy with experience in estimating (cost and schedule) and financial modeling.
- Analytical mindset and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of engaging management-level audiences.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Skilled in negotiating, influencing, and presenting to diverse teams.
- Understanding of Waterfall, Agile, and hybrid delivery methodologies (desirable).
