Your new companyHays are delighted to be exclusively supporting a charity based in Staffordshire looking to recruit a Head of Finance to join their Finance team. The ideal candidate will be qualified and have experience of managing a small team and be able to provide high-quality financial reporting, strong financial controls, and creative commercial support. Your new role

  • Control of bookkeeping processes and procedures
  • Ensuring statutory compliance of the organisation's outsourced payroll function
  • Production of standard budget reports
  • Development of costing models for financial evaluation
  • Maintenance of financial reporting processes
  • Monitoring and maintaining cash flows and investments
  • Developing financial management strategies
  • Production of Board reports and key financial and operational KPI data
  • Liaison with external auditors, banks, Charities Commission, HMRC, and other stakeholders
  • Production of annual accounts and statutory returns
  • Preparing and submitting annual budgets
  • Development and submission of annual Housing Benefit frameworks
  • Ad-hoc project work and reporting
  • Management and supervision of League staff
  • Providing finance support to the Chief Executive and senior managers
