Are you an experienced leader in Quality Assurance, Compliance, and Technical functions in the Food industry? Do you have a passion for ensuring that best practices are not only met but consistently exceeded? If so, we have an exciting and newly created senior opportunity for you.

Role:

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic individual to lead the Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Compliance, and Technical functions of a highly successful and internationally renound manufacturing operation based in the Midlands. As the Head of Quality & Technical, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that all products and processes meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance. This senior position would ideally suit strategic individuals with excellent team management, influencing and customer engagement skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Quality Management Systems: Oversee and develop robust Quality Management Systems (QMS) to ensure consistent quality from an end-to-end business perspective.
  • Qualified Person (QP) Compliance: Ensure that all Qualified Persons within the organization consistently fulfill their duties, maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Primary Contact for Regulatory Matters: Act as the main liaison for MHRA, TSO, and customers regarding critical quality and consumer safety issues.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and empower the Quality and Technical Teams, ensuring they are well-trained and fully equipped to meet the needs of the business.
  • CAPA Core Team Leadership: Play a key role in the CAPA Core Team, ensuring that Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs) are successfully completed within agreed timelines.
  • Product Recall & Market Withdrawals: Take primary responsibility for managing product recalls and market withdrawals when necessary.
  • Documentation & Compliance: Ensure all relevant documentation, records, and product samples are generated and maintained in accordance with legislative and customer requirements.
  • Quality Audits: Manage and oversee quality audits conducted by customers and regulatory bodies, ensuring compliance with GLP, GMP, and Safety Procedures.
Qualifications:
  • Extensive experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and Compliance roles within a regulated industry.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Experience in managing product recalls and working with regulatory bodies.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
