IT Field Engineer
Field Based / most site are in the Midlands region
Temporary Contract / 7 weeks initially but likely to extend
Outside IR35
The Role
Working as part of a team on a large network migration project, the IT Field Engineer will be responsible for basics IT tasks including setting up printers with a new IP address, swapping PCs and replacing scanner cables, setting up Wi-Fi PDQ on-site. You will also be responsible for the removal of old equipment including dropping this at the local support centres when required.
All tasks above are documented and there isn't a need for in depth IT knowledge. The actual network work is undertaken by the vendor on-site. This is more of a boots on the ground / following documentation and supporting sites with the cutovers whilst liaising with the remote team.
Experience required
- Previous experience in a similar role with basic IT skills and knowledge
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a small team
- Must hold a full, clean UK driving license, have your own car and be willing to travel. All travel costs will be expensed
- Must be immediately available to start
