Family Solicitor

Reed Legal are working with an established firm who are seeking an experienced Family Solicitor to join their hardworking and friendly team. With post-qualification experience (PQE), the successful candidate will provide clear, competent advice and manage a diverse caseload within our family law practice.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Manage and run your own caseload within the family team.
  • Provide legal advice across a range of areas including Private Law Children Matters, Divorce, Financial Settlements, Separation, Domestic Violence, Pre and Post Nuptial Agreements, and Cohabitee disputes.
  • Handle complex and time-sensitive legal matters.
  • Engage in legal research and advocacy.
  • Assist the Director and contribute to the team’s success.
  • Handle new enquiries and convert them into instructions.
  • Participate in networking and business development activities to enhance the firm’s presence and client base.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Fully qualified senior solicitor with PQE; other qualifications like CILEX and CLC will also be considered.
  • Confidence in managing a personal caseload.
  • Commercially astute with an understanding of business targets and their impact on the practice.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong academic background, preferably trained with a leading national or regional firm.
  • Proficient IT skills and a firm knowledge of family law.
  • Experience in managing privately funded work.
  • Demonstrated initiative and commitment to high service standards.
  • Highly organized, methodical, and adaptable.
  • Proven ability in business development and ideally established local connections.
