General Manager

Role Overview:

As the General Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all Warehousing & Transport aspects of the operation, ensuring the efficient and effective management of our distribution operations. You will lead a dedicated team, manage budgets, and develop strategies to enhance productivity and profitability. This role requires a strong leader with a strategic mindset, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of the distribution industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team across various departments, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring that processes are streamlined, cost-effective, and meet the highest standards of quality and service.
  • Develop and implement business strategies that align with company goals, focusing on growth, customer satisfaction, and market expansion.
  • Manage budgets, forecast financial performance, and implement cost-saving measures without compromising on service quality.
  • Maintain and develop strong relationships with key clients, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Ensure all operations comply with relevant regulations, health and safety standards, and company policies.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Proven experience as a General Manager or in a similar leadership role within the distribution/logistics sector.
  • Strong understanding of distribution processes and supply chain management.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to develop and implement effective business strategies.
  • Experience in financial management and budgeting.
  • A proactive approach with the ability to solve problems and make decisions quickly.

Renumeration:

£60,000 - £65,000 + Car/Car Allowance, Bonus + Benefits
