About the Role:
As a Specialist Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with complex care needs, helping them to regain and maintain independence. You will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating tailored intervention programmes to improve health and wellbeing. Your expertise will contribute to preventing unnecessary hospital admissions, supporting rehabilitation, and promoting early discharge where appropriate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop personalised care and rehabilitation plans.
- Provide interventions focused on promoting independence, improving functional ability, and enhancing overall wellbeing.
- Work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, person-centred care.
- Support service users and their families by offering education and guidance on managing conditions and daily living activities.
- Contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives.
- Supervise and support junior team members and students as required.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation in accordance with professional and organisational standards.
What We Are Looking For:
- Degree in Occupational Therapy (or equivalent) and current HCPC registration.
- Experience in assessing and treating individuals with a wide range of physical and cognitive conditions.
- Strong clinical reasoning skills and the ability to work autonomously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and patient-centred approach.
- Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.

- Flexibility to work across various locations and a valid UK driving licence (or ability to travel across the region).
