GSL Education is looking for a compassionate and dedicated SEN Support Worker to assist primary school children with special educational needs in Sheffield. This role involves both educational support and personal care, ensuring children receive the help they need to succeed in a nurturing environment.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Provide one-to-one and small-group support for children with SEN, helping them access learning and develop key skills.
  • Assist with personal care tasks, including toileting, feeding, and mobility support where required.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.
  • Implement tailored education and care plans in collaboration with teachers and SENCOs.
  • Support students with communication, sensory, and emotional regulation needs.
  • Use specialist equipment and strategies to aid learning and physical development.
Requirements:
  • Experience working with children with SEN, preferably in a primary school or care setting.
  • Training in moving & handling, personal care, or communication support is an advantage.
  • Patience, empathy, and a commitment to supporting children with additional needs.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • UK Driving License
