Are you a passionate and skilled Design and Technology (DT) Teacher looking for your next opportunity? Aspire People is seeking an enthusiastic and committed DT Teacher for a vibrant secondary school in Stafford.

About the Role:

We are looking for a highly motivated and creative Design and Technology Teacher to join a supportive and forward-thinking department at a well-established secondary school. The successful candidate will have the ability to inspire students through engaging lessons, demonstrating a strong knowledge of the curriculum, and delivering practical, hands-on learning experiences. You will be responsible for teaching DT across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, and ideally, Key Stage 5.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality Design and Technology lessons, ensuring students' engagement and progress across KS3 and KS4.
Encourage students' creativity and innovation through a range of practical and theoretical lessons.
Foster an environment of positive behaviour, respect, and collaboration in the classroom.
Keep up to date with developments in Design and Technology and incorporate new teaching methods and resources.
Track student progress and provide feedback to ensure continuous improvement.
Work closely with colleagues to contribute to the development of the department's curriculum and extra-curricular activities.
Attend staff meetings, parents' evenings, and school events.
Key Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a degree in Design and Technology or a related field.
Experience teaching DT at secondary school level.
A strong understanding of the DT curriculum and the ability to teach a variety of materials and techniques.
Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
Passionate about teaching and dedicated to encouraging student growth and achievement.
Ability to work well as part of a team and contribute positively to a collaborative environment.
A DBS on the update service or the willingness to purchase a new one through Aspire People.
