Well, do I have a role for you. Currently looking for a Finance Assistant to join an energy business based in Stafford on a temporary basis. Needing someone to assist in the Finance department with transactional duties and offering support to customers.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring payments are made on time and investigate any issues.
  • Chase collection of overdue payments and invoice via phone/email
  • Ensure accurate documentation of all collection activities in SAP.
  • Maintain customer records and communicate payment terms, due dates, and any other relevant information clearly and professionally.
  • Work closely with the finance & Cash Collection team to ensure accurate account reconciliation and resolve discrepancies.
  • Informing clients of payments with reminders
  • Liaise with other departments to address queries/disputes on late payments.
  • Provide reports on outstanding receivables and cash flow status to senior management.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures regarding payment collections.
  • Creating and maintaining strong relationships and communication with customers

Ideal candidate:

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience working within a similar role e.g Finance, Accounting, Credit Control
  • Strong Finance knowledge with the ability to analyse data.
  • Experienced in SAP
  • Strong communication skills both verbally and written.
  • Ability to manage and prioritise workload.
  • Knowledge of collection practices and legal requirements
