TEMP TO PERM FINANCE CONTROLLER

  • Location: London
  • Job Type: Full-time (Hybrid role but 2-3 days in the office) 
  • Salary: 45-50k  ( Part Qualified, Qualified or Qualified by Experience) 

We are seeking a Financial Controller who is a recognised subject matter expert in financial and non-financial planning, analysis, and management. This role involves advising the management team in line with business objectives, Group standards, accounting principles, and regulations. The ideal candidate will have advanced education and significant experience in financial roles, including budgeting and forecasting.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Implement controlling objectives, plans, and processes for specific business areas of small/medium scale complexity.
  • Coordinate and prepare budgets, financial forecasts, and report variances.
  • Perform regular controlling processes, including alignments and documentation: Actuals Reporting, Estimate, Planning.
  • Conduct complex data analysis and prepare forecasts, reports, and recommendations for management decision-making.
  • Ensure transparency at both entity and business model levels (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statement).
  • Regularly collaborate with the sales team for sales forecasts, including monthly analysis of Revenue and preparation of the commission file.
  • Analyse issues and suggest enhancements in existing controlling processes, systems, techniques, and methods to enhance transparency and efficiency.
  • Assist in coordinating month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Prepare and publish timely monthly management reports.
  • Implement controlling and budgeting policies, procedures, and methods for reporting, forecasting, and preparing planning information.
  • Coordinate cost allocation and profitability analysis in relevant systems.
  • Be part of the project team to migrate the finance ERP to S4/HANA.
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Relevant bachelor’s degree and equivalent professional finance qualification ( PQ, or Qualified) 
  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar position.
  • Excellent skills in Excel and PowerPoint, as well as Power BI and dashboards, queries etc..
  • Good knowledge of SAP.
  • Strong organisational skills and self-motivation.
  • Advanced communication and presentation skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality output.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adhere to tight deadlines.
  • Flexible and proactive approach, task and goal-oriented, able to adapt to changes.
  • Strong team player with thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
  • Desirable skills in Finance Reporting Systems, Power BI, Data Visualization, and ESG.
