Export Analyst/ Document Specialist

Are you a highly attentive individual with a detailed understanding of Inco terms, trade documents/ trade banking?

Ideally you would have an understanding of legal and international documentation or have exposure to import or export related documentation and producing letters of credit.

Role Title: Export Trade Analyst

Role Type: Permanent

Location: Staines Upon Thames (office based)

Hours: Full Time - Monday to Friday

Salary: 25-40k (Dependent on experience)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for issuing exporters' documents under letters of credit and presenting them to the banks on their behalf
  • Establishing relationships with customers, suppliers, inspection companies, laboratories, freight forwarders and banks
  • Checking letters of credit and contracts, suggesting and validating necessary amendments
  • Preparing instructions for warehouses/plants & freight forwarders + arranging certification/legalisation of documents
  • Creating documentation on behalf of beneficiaries, or cash against documentation
  • Checking of documents and then presenting documents to bank officials
  • Ad hoc responsibilities as and when required

Desirable:

  • Working knowledge of Inco Terms, UCP 600 or ISBP 98
  • Industry experience within Exports, Banking, Freight Forwarding or Logistics
  • Knowledge of export financing tools
  • Understanding of Trade Banking or Letters of Credit (essential)
  • Good communication skills
  • Strong data skills, intermediate Excel knowledge would be advantageous
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong work ethic
  • Ability to multitask
  • Additional European languages would be beneficial, particularly French
