SHIFT MANAGER (Fuel Operations) – HEATHROW (Nights)
Your opportunity
As a Shift Manager, you will be supporting the effective and safe management of both airside and landside fuel delivery Driver teams to exceed Customer expectations through achieving both the maximum level of productivity and compliance.
SHIFT PATTERN:Â
4 nights on, 4 nights off  18:00 – 06:00 inclusive of break times
Role and responsibilities include:
With safety as the overall paramount consideration, you will ensure the following duties are completed:
- Manage the activities of airport shift drivers to deliver the shift plan, assisting with the management of the operation including Legal Compliance, Health & Safety, Productivity and Efficiency, Holidays and Sickness to deliver exceptionally high levels of customer service
- Maintain refuelling and other equipment at fuel stations and on mobile trucks in a safe and serviceable state, you will assist in routine maintenance activities if required
- Gather and process driver, vehicle, site safety and other data required correctly, producing reports deemed necessary in good time, these include; monitoring and reporting fuel site safety checks, vehicle safety checks
- Undertaking or assisting with risk assessment requirements
- Ensuring all drivers are carrying out their duties in line with all of our policies and procedures
- Correctly report and record any incidents and accidents
You will work with the Operations Manager to meet Customer needs and resolve any Customer service issues. These include:
- Dispensing AdBlue according to Customer requirements
- Gathering Customer fuel monitor fitting details
- Programming and installing fuel monitor devices
- Maintaining good working relationships with Heathrow Airport Limited airside operations and service partners to enhance operational efficiency
As a night shift manager, you will communicate and work effectively with other team members and carry out spot checks and 1 to 1 reviews with those you manage. You will assist the Operations Manager by giving them relevant feedback regarding the performance of each team member.
Skills required:
- Possess a valid UK driving licence (essential), Class 2 (desirable)
- Experience of an airport operational environment would be highly advantageous
- Experience of organising and planning vehicles and drivers to meet an operational daily plan
- Fuel Industry knowledge would be highly advantageous but not a necessity
- Positive attitude, pro-active, strong communication skills, ability to work under pressure
- Solid time management, organisational skills and administrative capability
- Self-driven with strong Communication skills. Comfortable around groups and positive skills in influencing others to follow
- Computer and technology literate
