Now recruiting for a Clinical Coding Manager with a passion for coding and a drive to lead the team to excellence. As an Accredited Clinical Coder with leadership qualities, you will be responsible for the strategy, development, and day-to-day management of the company coding systems and services. This role requires a highly organised individual with a strong interest in quality management and service delivery excellence.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Oversee the coding strategy and ensure the smooth running of the department to meet monthly deadlines.
  • Conduct monthly one-to-one meetings with team members to set individual and team objectives.
  • Handle customer cases, ensuring responses are within the Service Level Agreement (SLA).
  • Distribute workload evenly across the team and ensure all members are multiskilled.
  • Provide support and training to colleagues on clinical coding matters.
  • Educate both customers and internal staff on coding principles.
  • Maintain and update all coding-related processes, ensuring the integrity of the coding process.
  • Keep abreast of market trends and external coding affairs.
  • Lead the development of coding classifications and liaise with customers for new code development.
  • Analyse and support various clinical and pharmacy code sets.
  • Map clinical codes to relevant classifications and ensure standardisation across systems.
  • Maintain provider Chargemaster mappings and support the implementation of clinical code sets.
  • Plan and chair customer coding workshops and support coding-related system enhancements.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Degree level education or recognised equivalent.
  • National Accredited Clinical Coder Qualification (ACC).
  • Proven managerial experience in managing a clinical coding team.
  • High-level customer service experience and familiarity with CRM systems, Salesforce desirable.
  • Advanced knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology.
  • Expertise in ICD-10 and OPCS-4 coding rules and conventions.
  • Strong analytical, administrative, and organisational skills with great attention to detail.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and good team player attributes.
  • Ability to develop and maintain stakeholder relationships both internally and externally.
