Providing day to day maintenance support to ensure all plant and machinery are maintained to a high standard, to enable the safe and efficient running of the manufacturing operation.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Ensure safe working practices are always observed to minimise risks to personnel with production areas
- Ensure that scheduled and un-scheduled maintenance are completed for all major items of plant equipment
- Support management processes for the maintenance programme
- Ensure that all documentation required for quality, health and safety and environment is completed satisfactorily
- In conjunction with the Technical Engineering Director and Management, provide assistance by collating specifications for any new or modified equipment
- To work with Siemens PLC's, motors and drives
- To be able to interpret drawings and technical manuals
- Ensure all waste is correctly segregated and disposed of in the appropriate waste container
- Awareness and adherence to the Company’s, Quality, Health and Safety, and Environmental Policies and Procedures
- Strict adherence of the Company Hygiene Policy and Procedure
EXPERIENCE:
- Good knowledge of electrical maintenance and operation of all factory machines
- Good practical mechanical / electrical ability
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently with minimum supervision
- Commitment to product, quality and safety
- Be positive, flexible and hard-working
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 18th edition
- City and Guilds Level 3 9320 (Maintenance and Operations Technician) OR City and Guilds Level 3 Electrotechnical Technology Installation (Building and structures) 2330
- NVQ Level 3 or advanced apprenticeship
- JIB card or CSCS card equivalent
40 hours per week, working Monday to Friday: 8:00am to 4:30pm (these hours include ½ hour unpaid lunch)
