Account Manager

Role Overview:As an Account Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the delivery of reactive maintenance, planned maintenance, and capital project services for a diverse portfolio of clients. You will be responsible for managing client relationships, ensuring the successful execution of projects, and driving overall client satisfaction. While overseeing your own dedicated clients, you will also manage a team of account administrators and helpdesk staff, providing guidance and support to ensure operational excellence and service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Client Relationship Management:Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, serving as the primary point of contact for all maintenance-related matters.

  2. Job Management:Oversee, action, and deliver a wide range of reactive maintenance services. Be competent in providing quotations and proposals for further works following initial site attendances. Raise invoices, quotations, issue worksheets and reports, and liaise with clients regarding job updates.

  3. Project Oversight:Lead the delivery of fabric maintenance projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

  4. Team Leadership:Supervise and support a team of account administrators and engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and training as needed.

  5. Service Management:Monitor service performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies to enhance overall service delivery and client satisfaction.

  6. Client Reviews:Conduct regular reviews with clients to assess performance, gather feedback, and identify opportunities for service enhancement.

  7. Engineering Oversight:Coordinate with engineers to ensure the timely and efficient completion of maintenance tasks, troubleshooting any issues that may arise.

  8. Budget Management:Collaborate with the delivery team to manage project and job budgets, track expenses, and optimise resource allocation.

Requirements:
  • Proven experience in account management within the facilities maintenance industry, with a focus on fabric maintenance and managing client accounts.
  • Strong construction knowledge, allowing the ability to produce detailed and accurate quotations for building-related tasks.
  • Previous further education is preferable but not essential. A trade background and/or time served in similar roles is essential.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate individuals to achieve goals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Exceptional organisational abilities, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to manage a busy schedule and multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in several industry-leading job management programs and MS Office suite.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to client sites as needed.
Location:

Corringham, Essex - Travel to client sites or office locations as required. Company vehicles available upon request.

Hours:

48 hours a week, Monday to Friday
