Job Opportunity: Counterbalance Forklift Driver
Location: Stanford-le-Hope
Salary: £14.00 per hour
Position: Full-Time
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 07:00 - 17:00
Key Duties:As a Forklift Counterbalance Operator, you’ll be responsible for maintaining a safe and efficient warehouse environment, handling deliveries, and supporting production when necessary.
Key responsibilities include:
- Safety Awareness: Understand and communicate top safety risks; report near misses and use the red card system when needed.
- Warehouse Safety Practices: Complete behavior-based safety observations and 6S reports, keep work areas clean and clear, and follow the 100% clear aisle policy.
- Equipment Checks: Conduct safety checks on equipment (PIT, racking, ramps).
- Inventory Handling: Accurately receive deliveries, process customer returns, prepare and load orders, and update stock locations
- Freight & Dispatch: Book UK freight consignments and handle dispatch paperwork in line with SOPs.
- Cross-Functional Support: Assist with production operations, participate in stock takes, and support departmental projects when required.
Requirements:
- RTITB CB Fork Lift Truck License essential
- A valid driving licence and access to a reliable vehicle are essential for this role.
