Payroll Officer/Manager

We are seeking a Payroll Officer who is proficient in end-to-end payroll processes and is also comfortable handling the full transactional side of accounts, including sales and purchase ledgers. This role is ideal for someone who has some management accounting experience, is skilled in Excel, and is familiar with HMRC procedures.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Manage end-to-end payroll processing efficiently and accurately.
  • Handle all aspects of the transactional accounting processes, including managing sales and purchase ledgers.
  • Assist in management accounting tasks and financial reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with HMRC regulations and procedures.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate payroll records and reports.
  • Address and resolve payroll discrepancies and queries.
  • Collaborate with HR and finance teams to ensure smooth payroll operations.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in payroll processing and transactional accounting.
  • Familiarity with management accounting practices.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and payroll software.
  • In-depth knowledge of HMRC payroll regulations and procedures.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
