We are delighted to be able to offer this excellent opportunity to join our client on a permanent basis as a Shift Supervisor within theirexisting Maintenancedepartment. The role is permanent and full time, hours of work are Monday to Friday 5.45am-2.00pm / 1.45pm-10.00pm rotating days and backs.

Duties of the role include:

Being the senior Maintenanceperson on shift that all breakdown will be reportedto:

  • Briefing the MaintenanceTeam at the start of the shift with what is planned and what they are expected to achieve
  • Reporting any breakdowns and outcomes to the Engineering Manager at the end of the shif
  • Requesting and necessarytools or equipment that need to be ordered to Management
  • Assisting colleagueswhere necessar
  • Being the lead person to liaisewith Production and Qualitydepartments if needed
  • Ensuring that all operations on equipment are performed to a professional, high quality standar
  • Informing and updating Engineering and Production Management with regards to line availability following breakdow
  • Making sure that equipment is properly maintained, and identified faults are reported and logged so that corrective action can be tak
  • Assisting with the planned preventative maintenance progra
  • Collaborating with Production and Quality departments to improve output andefficiencie
  • Record maintenance and results/resolutions for future reference
  • Ensuring all parts are removed from equipment and the area is clear and safe prior to production line re-starting

Essential Experience:

  • Time served mechanical or electrical biased engineer
  • Experience of being in a Supervisory role in a maintenance department

Desired Experience:

  • PLC experience is advantageous but not essential, previous experience with in a FMCG would be beneficial
  • Knowledge of HACCP / food safety
  • IPAF Certificate
  • Testing and inspection
  • Experience in a faced-paced production environment is beneficial
