Duties of a Business Development Manager:
- Identify new business opportunities.
- Generate leads and cold call prospective customers.
- Create a sales pipeline.
- Negotiate pricing with customers, and suppliers.
- Carry out sales forecasts and analysis and present findings to senior management.
- Meet with customers and clients face to face both in the UK and globally.
- Understand the needs of customers and be able to respond effectively with a plan of how to meet these.
- Discuss sales strategy and activities with senior members of the team.
Skills and experience required of a Business Development Manager
- Experienced as a Business Development Manager generating new business both in the UK and globally.
- Experience in the promotional merchandise sector.
- Ability to translate a client brief into a range of products that meet a client’s expectations.
- Highly organised, methodical, and ability to multi-task successfully.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Highly motivated, driven and tenacious.
