The Role:

As Head of Science, you will:

*Lead and manage the Science Department, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.*Develop and implement a broad and engaging curriculum in line with national standards.*Inspire and motivate both students and staff to achieve academic excellence.*Oversee the delivery of Biology or Chemistry, ensuring lessons are engaging and innovative.*Promote a culture of continuous professional development and education and training within the department.*Monitor and evaluate student progress, implementing strategies for improvement where necessary.*Work collaboratively with senior leadership to drive whole-school initiatives.

The Ideal Candidate:

*A qualified teacher with QTS and a strong background in Biology or Chemistry.*Proven leadership experience, either as a Head of Science or in a middle management role.*A passion for science and the ability to inspire students of all abilities.*Strong organisational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage a team effectively.*A commitment to high standards in education and training.*A strategic thinker with a vision for the future of science education.*Live or reliably commute to Stanmore.
