Process Technician
Up to £30,000 + 15% Shift Allowance +Benefits

We are actively seeking to recruit a trainee Process Technician / Shift Operations Technician to carry out general operational & maintenance duties across the plant to ensure safe & efficient operation of the plant. As part of the shift operations team, you will help direct the operations of the plant from a computer based central control room.
As the Process Technician, you will be responsible for:
- Ensure operational activities are carried out on a safe manner in line with company Health, Safety & Environmental policies
- Under direction of the Supervisor use SCADA control systems to safely operate & control the plant
- Undertake training & develop competence with regards to operational & H&S rules.
- Perform routine plant test & inspection
- Take personal responsibility for the quality & completion of the work tasks given to the Operations team
- Operate the main plant from the central control room logging all operational activity
- Participate in safety assessments & meetings
- Participate in comprehensive shift handovers at end/beginning of shift
To be considered for this position, you should have:
- Demonstrable Operations or Maintenance experience in the manufacturing, engineering, power, or process sectors (such as energy from waste, CCGT, Coal, Oil Biomass)
- Engineering / technical qualification highly advantageous
- Ability to work shift based working system for 24/7 plant operations Â
- Be highly motived with strong communication skills
- Knowledge of & commitment to relevant Health & safety regulation, safe working environments & Safety rules
- The ability to work on a shift basis covering a 24/7 operational plant
This is a permanent position based in Swindon; due to the location of the plant you will need a full UK driving licence to access the site.Â
The package on offer for this position includes:
- Basic earnings up to £30,000 (plus 15% shift allowance), depending on experience
