Responsibilities
- Prepare metal surfaces for polishing via cleaning, sanding and degreasing.
- Polish precision components using buffing machines, sanders, grinders and hand tools to smooth and shine surfaces of aerospace and medical components.
- Self-inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards
- Maintain and completed required documentation for products
Experience and Knowledge
- Proven experience as a metal polisher, fettler,finisher, or deburrer.
- Proficiency in using polishing tools, machinery and techniques
- An understanding of different metal types and their polishing requirements
- Experience in fettling is desirable
- High attention to detail
