Jacob Grey have recently partnered with an SME based in Stevenage to identify a new Financial Controller. Operating in the Business Services sector, this company has recently undergone a period of significant growth and has ambitious plans to maximise their potential in the UK market.

Reporting to the FD with a dotted line to the MD, your role and responsibilities will include:

- Managing and developing a team of circa 5-6 finance staff

- Preparation of Monthly Management Accounts with variance analysis and commentary

- Presenting the full set of monthly accounts to the senior management team.

- Preparation of the annual Statutory Accounts including liaising with auditors

- Assisting the FD with the preparation of quarterly and annual budgets

- Managing Accounts receivable, Accounts payable and VAT

- Cash flow forecasting

- Deputising for the FD where applicable

- Ad hoc project work including financial analysis, process improvement, and systems upgrades.

The successful candidate must be ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified and possess an exemplary track record in a similar role. You will also be enthusiastic, detail orientated, and thrive on exacting positive change.
