Senior Project Accountant - SAP Hertfordshire (Flexible Hybrid Working 2-3 days in the office)Circa £70,000 + £12,000 Bonus + Excellent BenefitsPermanent RoleVitae financial Recruitment are partnering with this global market leader who are currently in the process of a major global SAP S4/HANA transformation programme.We are seeking an Accountant (Likely qualified or qualified by experience) who has previous experience of Project Accounting within a business that operates long term customer contracts / long-term capital projects and understands the reporting requirements around Project Accounting, revenue recognition etc.Although SAP experience as a USER is highly advantageous, we are not seeking a SAP Consultant and this is not a technical SAP role.The role will play an integral role in translating what the Project Accounting team need from SAP S4/HANA to create common and harmonised templates across the business that meet the needs of the Finance team. As such the role will work alongside international colleagues acting as the conduit between the Project Finance and the SAP Systems Integrator. As part of a cross functional team you will review proposed systems solutions put forward by the systems integrator to ensure they meet the needs of the business. As the key conduit between Finance and the Systems Integrator you will help shape, develop and support testing scripts proactively driving through resolutions with the technical support team.Acting as the focal point for the UK Project Accounting Team the role will require exceptional communication and co-ordination skills within an international project environment to ensure all stakeholders are engaged and kept up to date with regular updates, agreed solutions, group decisions, testing and training.The role offers a great opportunity to be involved in a major global SAP Implementation to simplify and harmonise its ERP systems in order to deliver a suite of world class systems, tools and processes.The role will also support and contribute in the implementation of wider finance systems evolutions.Skills and Experience Requirements:- Must have previous experience within Project Accounting within a business that operates long-term customer contracts.- Must have a good understanding project reporting requirement including revenue recognition.- Must have a background in Accounting (Ideally a qualified or Part Qualified Accountant).- Experience of SAP as a USER is highly advantageous.- Previous experience of working on an ERP Implementation, Large scale transformation programme, working with a systems integrator/ involvement in testing or training would be an advantage.- A background in Project Accounting, Long Term Customer Contracts or similar, maybe from a Construction, Infrastructure, Framework Agreements, Technology or Manufacturing background.The business offers excellent career potential opportunities and is recognised as a leading employer of choice with an excellent culture and award-winning flexible working practices.AGY - Vitae Financial RecruitmentWe Exist To Be Different - Membership NOT Registration
