Application Support Engineer

We have partnered with a pioneering global Biotech company in Stevenage, that is known for creating life-saving cancer therapies. As part of their exciting growth journey, they are hiring across IT to enhance their capabilities, processes, and infrastructure.
We are looking for an Application Support Engineerto provide critical support and troubleshooting for their software applications. In this role, you will ensure smooth functionality, resolve user issues promptly, and collaborate with IT colleagues, business stakeholders, and users to identify, analyze, and resolve software-related problems.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert technical support for software applications, troubleshoot issues, and ensure timely resolution of application problems.
- Offer systems-related technical support, reviewing issues and providing effective solutions.
- Coordinate the analysis and resolution of issues arising from system upgrades and changes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any problems with business application software.
- Manage and take ownership of application issues, escalating to vendor support when necessary.
- Update and create knowledge articles to support Level 1 (L1) and Level 2 (L2) troubleshooting.
- Monitor system performance, conduct routine maintenance tasks, and apply updates and patches to ensure application stability and efficiency.
- Document technical issues, resolutions, and procedures to enhance knowledge sharing and streamline future support efforts.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years experience in desktop and software application management.
- Experience supporting Windows computers and the Microsoft Office 365 suite.
Desirable:
- Experience in managing GxP pharmaceutical and commercial sales systems.
