Our client is a leading defence company, they are seeking a Proving Engineer or Trials Engineer for a 12 month contract opportunity within their Electronic Engineering department.


Reporting to the Integration and Proving Team Lead, as a Proving Engineer, the role will be to plan, prepare, conduct and report on Equipment Level Proving activities. Trials are conducted at various UK facilities.

Responsibilities:

This role provides a unique opportunity to be involved in multi-million pound international projects, owning and delivering a critical element of the proving process.
Plan, prepare, conduct and report on Equipment Level Proving activities.

Skills required:

  • High degree of self-motivation and drive and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Proven ability of writing trials/technical documentation.
  • An appreciation of electronics technologies and the sorts of products that the business design and produces would be an advantage.
  • Proven understanding of Systems Proving Process and associated methodologies.
  • Good verbal, presentation and written communication skills.
  • The ability to communicate with a wide range of internal customers, sub-contractors / partners/ suppliers at both engineering and management levels.


Additional:
This is offering hybrid working but as a role including trials this might mean some weeks not needed on site, and then 3 or 4 weeks on site every day
Occasional travel – a week at a time – Bristol/Malvern/ Bolton
