Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our team. The successful candidate will support the teaching staff in delivering the curriculum, manage classroom activities, and provide support to pupils to enhance their learning experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support teachers in planning, preparing, and delivering lessons.
  • Work with individual pupils, small groups, or the whole class to facilitate learning.
  • Mark and assess pupils' work under the direction of the class teacher.
  • Develop and implement learning activities and resources.
  • Support pupils with special educational needs (SEN) and adapt activities to meet their individual needs.
  • Contribute to the monitoring and assessment of pupils' progress.
  • Supervise pupils during break and lunchtimes as required.
  • Maintain a safe and orderly classroom environment.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding pupils' progress and well-being.

Requirements:

  • HLTA qualification or equivalent.
  • Proven experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and relevant educational frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
  • A passion for supporting children's education and development.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).
