A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Electrical Equipment Manager to join the project management department, to assist with the development and delivery of mission-critical defence equipment.

This role performs the duties of managing the delivery of electrical/electronic equipment, ensuring it is on-time, on-cost, and on-quality, and reports to the senior project manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project manage the delivery of electrical/electronic equipment during development, qualification, and manufacture.
  • Manage the project relationship with internal and external design authorities/customers for the delivery of equipment hardware, software, and work to schedule, cost, quality, and performance.
  • Produce Statements of Work and review qualification verification evidence.
  • Track and resolve non-compliances.
  • Arrange design reviews with appropriate partners.
  • Control assigned budget(s) and work package management.
  • Handle risks and opportunities.

The successful candidate will have:

  • A degree or equivalent qualification in electrical/electronic engineering or a related subject (e.g., physics, data communications, EMC, etc.).
  • Strong project management skills and experience working with complex electrical/electronic equipment.
  • The ability to manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders effectively.
  • Experience in equipment qualification, verification, and non-compliance resolution.
