Job Title: Quality Assurance Engineer
Salary: Circa £40,000 - £50,000 depending on experience
Location: Stevenage
Dynamic (hybrid) working: 3 days per week on-site, due to workload classification

The Opportunity:
An exciting opportunity has become available for a Quality Assurance Engineer to join a team focused on supporting a range of electronic equipment in development.
In this role, you will have the chance to make a significant impact within a well-established Product Assurance (PA) team, working closely with Electronic Engineering. Your primary responsibility will be ensuring that all key PA activities are completed effectively, collaborating with Project Assurance Managers across the organization, reducing product non-conformance, ensuring smooth equipment delivery, and enhancing product reliability and customer satisfaction.
The Role:

Review, update, and maintain documentation related to equipment quality planning.

Ensure compliance with Electronic Engineering's Business Management System (BMS) procedures.

Plan, conduct, and manage actions from Product Life Cycle reviews.

Handle product non-conformance, facilitate its resolution, and support investigations into design and manufacturing defects. Provide analysis of non-conformance data and present findings to senior management.

Proactively identify, communicate, and mitigate quality risks related to in-house equipment to reduce risks and improve customer satisfaction.

Participate in engineering process improvement initiatives and lead local flash audits to suggest compliance and process enhancements.

Plan and conduct quality-focused micro-training sessions to raise awareness of quality processes, improve efficiencies, and enhance the skills of the engineering team and site facilities.
What We're Looking For:

Ideally, a minimum of HNC/HND in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or substantial relevant experience in a similar role.

Experienced quality professionals, preferably with a background in Electronic Engineering and a proven track record in Quality Assurance.

Familiar with current QA problem-solving and improvement methodologies such as 8D, RCA, DMAIC, etc.

Good understanding of the product lifecycle, particularly during the development phase.

Strong analytical skills, with proficiency in running reports in Excel, using SAP QM systems, and managing documentation tools.

A continuous improvement mindset and the ability to take initiative in driving enhancements.
