Overview:

Join a rapidly growing global space organization as a Senior Hardware Design Engineer, where you will be at the forefront of cutting-edge technology. In this pivotal role, you will be integral to the product development lifecycle, focusing on the specification, design, and validation of advanced satellite communication products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the detailed design of circuits, including schematic capture, component selection, and simulation.
  • Direct both in-house and third-party PCB layout design teams.
  • Deliver high-quality manufacturing work packages for both prototypes and production products.
  • Support the integration, validation, and qualification of hardware, software, and systems.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Electronics or a related field.
  • Extensive commercial experience in hardware product design.
  • Proven experience in the development of satellite or payload equipment.
  • Expertise in designing complex, high-speed circuits on high-density, multi-layer (10+) PCBs.
  • Proficiency with circuit and PCB design and simulation tools such as Allegro, ADS, SiWave, HFSS, and CST.
  • Hands-on experience in designing products incorporating:
    • Microcontrollers, Digital Signal Processors (DSP), FPGA, or ASIC.
    • High-speed digital interfaces (e.g., SerDes, ADC/DACs).
    • Power supplies and sensors.
    • RF design.
  • Knowledge or experience in:
    • High-reliability system design (e.g., Space, Military, Automotive).
    • DC/DC power supply design.
    • Verilog/VHDL for developing board/power/clock management components.
    • Developing ASIC prototyping systems using FPGAs.
    • Compliance with environmental, thermal, safety, and EMI/EMC standards.
    • Practical use of scripting languages such as Tcl, Python, and Perl.
