Finance Analyst - FP&AStevenage, Hertfordshire £40,000 - 45,000 per annum

Candidate profile
This role will be great career development for a CIMA or ACCA studier who is already working within or is keen to pursue a Finance Analyst role within an FP&A team. The role could also suit somebody who is qualified by experience and keen to continue or develop within FP&A.
Medium to large company experience would be desirable, alongside knowledge of manufacturing, FMCG or a production-based environment.
Job Purpose
Following a recent restructure within this successful and growing FMCG business, this role has been created to work closely with the Lead FP&A in providing critical finance data and support to the wider business. The role will deputise for the FP&A Lead when required and take on additional responsibilities over time within the wider business.
The role will also work closely with Operational and Commercial Business Partners.
You will be a key member of the FP&A team, focussed on improving financial reporting, inventory management and cost of sales reporting. In doing so you will help to drive improvements in our processes, systems and reporting across all UK sites.
You will help to support the events plan within the group to ensure profit maximisation through financial support and challenge.
Help drive continuous improvement throughout the reporting framework, whilst providing critical support and thinking to key stakeholders.
You will also gain exposure to other areas of financial planning and forecasting throughout.

Principle Accountabilities
Reporting• Provide detailed analysis of variances to forecast and understanding true driver of performance. • Utilise and improve BI reporting whilst supporting stakeholders in the data and reporting improvement journey.• Provide focus and drive towards continuous improvement across the business reporting framework.• Budget and Forecast• Provide input to the Budget and Forecast process across areas of responsibility including stock, labour, waste and operational site overheads.Inventory Management• Assist the Operations business partner in reporting and monitoring of inventory with insights into slow moving stock.• Support overs and shorts of stock from Farms to reduce waste and promote process improvement.• Responsible for the accurate and timely reporting of nurseries profitabilityEvents• Help support the annual Events plan to ensure profit maximisation • Support the Lead FP&A on projects and initiatives as and when required
