Role responsibilities

• Providing corporate tax compliance and advisory services to privately owned businesses
• Advising on shareholder matters, business restructuring, and succession planning
• Preparing and reviewing tax returns, ensuring accuracy and meeting deadlines
• Spotting opportunities for tax savings and long-term strategic planning
• Building strong relationships with business owners and management teams
• Working closely with audit and accounts teams to deliver cohesive client support
• Mentoring junior members of the tax team and supporting their technical growth
• Keeping up to date with UK tax legislation and applying it practically across different client scenarios

Candidate requirements

• ACA, ACCA or CTA qualified with several years of experience in business tax
• Strong technical knowledge and up-to-date understanding of UK tax legislation
• Proven experience working with owner-managed businesses on both compliance and advisory matters
• Commercially aware, with the ability to translate technical advice into practical outcomes
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Comfortable managing a portfolio and mentoring junior staff
