Our client is looking for a passionate and experience General Manager to join the team at their stunning site.
This prestigious venue, based in Hertfordshire provides the catering & hospitality for the public as well as numerous weddings, high scale events and conferences.

The role:

As the General Manager, you will be
* Managing and supporting a core team with motivation and enthusiasm
* Key liaison for all clients, working with them to manage and exceed expectations
* Oversee and manage the operational team - driving the business and up selling where possible
* Responsible for labour, forecasting and spending costs in line with targets and budgets
* Managing staffing levels for events by planning ahead
* Developing and managing the client relationship as a whole

What we're looking for:

You, as the ideal candidate, would be
* An experienced General Manager with a proven background within Hospitality and Events
* Highly experienced in Management and Leadership - proven ability in managing large teams
* Successful within high quality conference and event catering
* Passionate on getting the best out of people and maximising commercial opportunities
* Strong in communication skills - able to engage and interact with a variety of people at all levels
* Flexible in approach to working hours/days
* Financially minded - have a good understanding of report writing and financial management
* Able to work under pressure and to deadlines whilst remaining calm and level headed
* Open minded with a can do, positive approach and an analytical approach to problem solving
