18 Recruitment are looking for an experienced HR Project Manager for their client in Stevenage on a contracted basis until June 2025.

Role will involve: 

  • Drawing up and maintain project and communication plans that will support the delivery of the project
  • Effectively manage and report on project budget
  • Work with all parties to agree, co-ordinate and schedule project activities
  • Directing and motivating the project team as appropriate
  • Work closely with suppliers and book relevant technical resources to deliver project tasks
  • Produce and share weekly/bi-weekly/monthly project highlight reports
  • Highlighting HR project risks, evaluate, communicate to key people and manage those risks. If necessary, feed these risks into the Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery plans
  • Managing expectations for the delivery of the project and escalating issues on deadlines, risks and issues as early as possible to enable appropriate corrective action to be taken
  • Undertaking project closure as appropriate including ensuring that the necessary project documentation has been completed.
  • Ensure that any changes to the originally agreed scopes of work are managed through change control and that the results of the changes are documented and clearly communicated to all key stakeholders
  • Ensure that the necessary project documentation has been completed.
  • Ensure project management methodology always followed during HR change lifecycle.

Ideal candidates will have:

  • Sound HR Knowledge – Experience of delivering projects within an HR function, including payroll services, as part of a team preferably in an Oracle environment alongside any statutory or legislative requirements.
  • Best Practice Knowledge - Strong understanding of HR and Payroll processes and practices. Previous experience working in a Project Manager role is essential. 
  • Business Acumen – an understanding of the Group's and operational division's business processes, industry, and market. Ability to use business knowledge to provide valuable insights and drive HR initiatives.
  • Adaptability – a preference to be flexible and adaptable in response to changing business needs. The ability to thrive in a dynamic and evolving work environment.
  • Communication - excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills. The ability to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner and skilled at presenting your point of view persuasively using compelling language and evidence.  The confidence to leverage the expertise of various departments to provide stakeholders with value-added integrated solutions.
  • Relationship Building – ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with leaders, managers, and employees and third-parties to collaborate freely and effectively to achieve a common goal.
  • Change Management - ability to navigate and lead through organisational change, particularly in the context of a rapidly growing business.
  • Problem-Solving - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address challenges and proactively identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Results-Driven - proven record of delivering stretching targets with drive and resilience.  A focus on achieving measurable results and key performance indicators, with an emphasis on continuous improvement and optimization of processes. 

Role is based in Stevenage working Monday - Friday the candidate will be expected to be in the office a minimum 2 days a week.

Contract until End of June 2025.
