IT Engineer, Hitchin, £35-40K
Onsite 5 days per week (Mon-Fri)
My client based in Hitchin are looking for an experienced IT support candidate to join their internal team
Key duties:
- Manage all user queries to completion and to acceptable time scale
- Escalate problematic user queries to the IT manager and work with him to resolve
- Liaise with third party support providers to resolve any user queries
- Ensure relevant software is installed, licensed, up to date and available to appropriate users in a timely manner
- Office 365 Administration of user accounts and permissions
- Monitor patch management, Network and Wi-Fi logs, investigate and repair any failures
- Configure and setup workstations to the company specifications.
- Configure and support routers and access points.
To be successful in this role, you need to have at least 3 years of experience in a similar IT support role, preferably with a good understanding of networking. You also need to have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, as well as a customer-oriented attitude. You should be able to work independently and as part of a team and be willing to learn new skills and technologies.
- Working in an IT support (Windows) environment is essential.
- Have experience with Microsoft technologies: 365, AD/Server OS, networking, IP connectivity and backup solutions.
You must drive, a company car will be provided.
