Property Litigation Solicitor

An established specialist property litigation practice is seeking an experienced Litigation Solicitor with a strong background in contentious property litigation matters. The ideal candidate will have significant expertise in service charges, ground rent debt recovery, breaches of covenant, and general Landlord & Tenant matters. This role has an "in-house" feel to it and the focus isn't on fees and bringing in new clients, but rather on a positive outcome for the clients, most of whom are managing agents. 

Day to Day of the Role:
  • Independently manage a complex and varied caseload in the County Court and First Tier Tribunal (Property Chamber).
  • Provide expert knowledge and guidance to team members, with the support of the Head of Litigation.
  • Deliver training on relevant areas of law to support the growth and development of junior staff.
  • Maintain effective case management, including diarising key dates and updating database notes.
  • Regularly report to clients and/or agents as required.
  • Write legal articles for publication as requested.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Circa 2-3 years PQE with experience of service charges and ground rent debt recovery (residential and commercial).  Lesser experience would be considered for the right candidate.
  • Experience in commercial property litigation, breaches of covenant, and general Landlord & Tenant matters is desirable.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively, providing supervision and guidance to team members.
  • Experience in delivering training on relevant areas of law.
  • Commitment to business performance and delivery of high-quality service to clients.
  • Compliance with professional standards and regulatory body requirements.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with colleagues to support business growth.
