Reed Legal are recruiting for a Senior Property Litigation Solicitor to join a specialist property litigation practice with a focus on residential landlord and tenant matters. The Senior Property Litigation Solicitor would manage and lead a team effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in service charges, ground rent debt recovery, and general landlord and tenant matters.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Lead and manage a team of solicitors and paralegals, ensuring effective delegation, performance management, and professional development.
  • Handle complex defended service charge, ground rent, and possession matters both residential and commercial independently and proactively.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on breach of covenant matters and general landlord and tenant queries.
  • Ensure compliance with court and tribunal deadlines and maintain high-quality case management.
  • Review claims, evaluate the merits of defences and counterclaims, and advise clients accordingly.
  • Deliver training and development sessions on relevant legal topics to junior staff.
  • Maintain regular reporting to clients and ensure clear communication throughout case progressions.
  • Write legal articles and thought leadership pieces for publication as required.
  • Support business development initiatives and promote the firm’s expertise in residential landlord and tenant matters.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • 5+ years PQE with experience in service charges and ground rent debt recovery (residential and commercial).
  • Proven ability to manage and lead a team of solicitors and paralegals.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work independently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to foster collaboration and build positive relationships with clients, team members, and external partners.
  • Experience in commercial property litigation and other landlord and tenant matters is desirable.
  • Demonstrable experience delivering training and mentoring junior staff.
