Mentus Recruitment are proudly working with an independent psychiatric hospital to support with the recruitment of a Consultant Psychiatrist.
We are seeking a dedicated Consultant Psychiatrist to join our multidisciplinary team at an Independent, Psychiatric Hospital, specializing in Psychiatric Intensive Care. This role requires an inspiring clinical leader who is committed to delivering high-quality, compassionate care for patients with mental health challenges. The successful candidate will work closely with various stakeholders to foster a positive and professional environment within the hospital.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical leadership and supervision to junior medical staff.
- Develop and implement comprehensive treatment services based on evidence-based practice.
- Collaborate with the medical team to ensure quality assurance and maintain high standards of clinical performance.
- Participate in educational initiatives and health promotion activities within the Mental Health Service.
- Engage with external partners, commissioners, and regulatory bodies to enhance service delivery and uphold patient safety.
- Participate in an out-of-hours on-call rota and ensure adequate consultant cover across the hospital.

Required Qualifications & Experience:
- GMC registration and Section 12(2) approval and Approved Clinician Status.
- Significant experience in an inpatient setting, particularly in psychiatric intensive care or acute services.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, along with effective leadership capabilities.
