Salary: 80k - 85k

We are seeking a strong manager and experienced quality specialist with a background in pharmaceuticals and good manufacturing Practice (GMP).

Responsibilities:

  • To manage the Quality Management System to ensure compliance with UK and EU pharmaceutical legislation and other applicable legislation as required to meet country standards of product use.
  • To manage relationships with competent authorities such as the MHRA and the BRC and with the company's customer base.
  • Maintain and grow regulatory knowledge for self and the team required to sign off and maintain key documentation.
  • To develop and implement appropriate compliance practice, cost effective and robust processes, operating principles and guidelines throughout the Quality Organisation and its associated responsibilities.
  • Act as a mentor to the Quality team. Nurture, develop and coach the team to also act as coaches for improved compliance performance across the site.
  • To lead and implement planned change within the Site Quality function.
  • To maintain operational continuity both internally and with that of the customer base managing resources as required.
  • Keep up to date with changing compliance expectations from regulatory bodies and customers. Adapt and improve quality systems as required.
  • To drive and support the improvement of manufacturing processes robustness through continuous improvement and high quality CAPA generation.
  • Act as a quality compliance figurehead and walk the site (especially production) to improve and maintain quality standards and GMP compliance.
  • To obtain high customer satisfaction rating re: quality, delivery and service from the Business development/Sales teams to support customer requests.
  • To oversee and improve all key quality activities.

Requirements

  • Degree in pharmacy, Life Sciences, or related field.
  • Experience managing a quality team within a pharmaceutical GMP environment, preferably managing both QC and QA functions.
  • Strong Leadership and management skills.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, written and problem-solving skills.
