Accounts Assistant

A unique opportunity has arisen for a talented Accounts/Finance Assistant to join a well-established and market leading packaging business based in Stevenage, underpinned with a history of over 35 years never making a redundancy, alongside 34 years of community, charity, philanthropy works.

Primary responsibilities

  • Support the finance team across all key areas of the purchasing function.
  • Purchase ledger & statement reconciliation.
  • Purchase order queries.
  • Payment runs.
  • Other various duties as required by the business.


Skill/Experience

  • Part/Fully qualified in AAT/ACCA.
  • Experienced in bookkeeping or accountancy in an SME environment would be desirable.
  • An exceptionally high degree of numeracy and attention to detail.
  • Experienced and confident using SAGE or similar software.
  • A good communicator, skilled at getting information from a range of sources and departments.
  • Computer literate and confident in the use of the Microsoft Office package.
  • Intermediate level Excel skills to a confident degree.
  • Ability to follow company policies and procedures.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritise a workload.
  • Polite and professional phone manner.
  • Possess flexibility and ability to effectively perform multiple functions at a time.

Hours:
Monday - Friday / 8.30am - 5.00pm
